Seventh Law of Love: The Golden Rule The golden rule puts a question mark on our actions against others. We sometimes think that the misgivings of others need to be punished. We think that others deserve worse than ourselves. But we are just as culpable. The next time you feel like wishing someone evil, first ask yourself: would I like this to be done unto me? If you don’t want evil to happen to you, so you shouldn’t wish it on others. Better still; don’t do anything unto others that you wouldn’t like others to do unto you! |
